Diagnostic Issues in Other Mental Disorders Co-Morbid With Intellectual Disability

Abstract The assumption by ICD-11 of Intellectual Disability (ID) as part the Neurodevelopmental Disorders, named Developmental Disorders (IDD), bring more attention psychiatric community to this population and problems they face. In field neurodevelopmental disorders, different diagnosis intersect, since share symptoms, some those symptoms are difficult define. At same time, difficulty people with ID conceptualize / or express is subjective experience creates another obstacle clearly identify witch present. We will try discuss these questions, offer references, in order help mental health professionals recognize most common ID, differentiate between them, namely Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Mood Impulse Control Disorders.
